In Crystal Palace each Player represents a Nation at the 1st Universal Exhibition of 1851 held in London. In order to make sure that your Homeland attracts the attention of the whole World, you will exhibit spectacular Inventions and recruit the most brilliant and influential minds of your time. You will pull strings everywhere to prepare the Event in the best possible way. It could all be so simple... if your government had provided you with unlimited means. But, as things stand, you will be constantly torn between modest Investments and excessive Loans. Crystal Palace is a Dice Placement Game in which the Players themselves decide the values of their dice at the beginning of each round. The higher this value, the better... but it comes at a cost. Throughout the game, the Dice are placed in 8 different Action Locations vying for the best Resources, Patents and Ingenuities. In a World full of unusual inventions, you will rub shoulders with Characters such as Phileas Fogg, Levi Strauss and Charlotte Brontë, and Gadgets such as the Thinking Machine, the Beer Counting Glass or the Weather Transformer.
