Hidden Leaders combines elements of worker placement and deduction with a unique victory mechanism. It's a high-tension game with no downtime, and quick to learn. You can't help but smile as you discover its original artwork and character names.
In Hidden Leaders, each player assumes the role of 1 of 6 secret leaders. Each leader is allied with 2 of the 4 factions/colors: The Hill Tribes, the Imperial Army, the Water People and the Undead. Playing heroes in each square, either openly or secretly, influences the outcome of combat.
During the game, players play hero cards to influence the power of the Hill Tribes (green marker) and the Imperial Army (red marker). When a certain number of heroes have been played, the game ends. The position of the 2 markers gives victory to one of the 4 factions.
