It's one thing to be the richest family on the block... it's another for everyone to notice. After acquiring your new fortune you have the enviable challenge of becoming the most admired tycoon of all.
Players bid for the acquisition of various attributes of wealth, namely the ten luxury possessions (positive numbers) and the three multiplier cards, while trying to avoid pitfalls such as the gambling card; the thief card (you lose a possession); and the calamitous fire card (you lose half the value of all your possessions). And beware of spending too much money in the bids: the player with less money at the end of the game will not have the right to opt for victory.
In these days of mansions, technology and extravagant luxuries, there's so much to spend.... but if you are wise in your purchases you can emerge as the supreme winner of the board game High Society!
