The rules are very simple: The first player to run out of stones wins. The rope is placed on any flat, horizontal surface, the 24 magnets are divided equally among the players.

Taking turns, clockwise, players must place one of their stones completely inside the area enclosed by the rope.

During a player's turn, if any stones are grouped together (i.e.: Kluster!) or leave the playing area, the player must pick up all the stones (even if he/she has not touched them) and his/her turn ends immediately (even if the player has not had a chance to place a stone yet).

During their turn, players cannot touch the stones placed in the playing area, but they can move the wire (and thus indirectly move some stones) as long as it stays flat on the surface and no stone is grouped with others in the process.

Players can also use the magnetism of the stones to move stones that are within the playing area. But be careful, if some stones are grouped together in the process, the player must pick them up as usual. Players take turns in this mode until one of them places his last stone.

Kluster also has a solitaire mode.
