forge your destiny! Inspired by fantasy storytelling, this board game challenges players to create the hero with the greatest destiny by acquiring traits, facing challenges and overcoming opponents. Call to Adventure features a unique system of rolling runes to solve challenges, a points-based system that encourages storytelling and over one hundred and fifty unique cards. Players begin each game with an origin card that provides their story and two beginner skills. Each round they can acquire trait cards from the board or face a challenge. Each challenge has two possible paths to choose from. Each challenge has a difficulty that must be overcome (the greater the skill possessed to overcome the challenge, the more runes can be cast). Failed challenges lead players to acquire experience points that can be spent to overcome more difficult challenges. But beware, while some negative experiences will help your hero grow, too many tragedies set them on a dark path... As players' heroes grow in skill and experience, they move on to more difficult challenges, facing deadly adversaries and acquiring more and more fate points. The player whose hero has the highest fate score will win the game

More Info: Create Your Hero. Your Hero's Story begins with the Origin, Motivation and Fate Cards. Throughout the game, you will add Cards to your Hero's Story to acquire Traits, obtain Allies and overcome Challenges. Choose your Path. To perfect your Hero and earn Fate points, you must face Challenges. Each Challenge has 2 possible paths, choose yours and roll the Runes to check if you succeed in your endeavor. If you want, you can add Black Runes to your roll, but you run the risk of Corruption! Forge your Fate! Play the Hero and Anti-Hero Cards in order to improve your chances of success or to hinder those of your Opponents, and face evil Adversaries. At the end, the Hero with the most Fate points will emerge as the winner and the others, at least, will have had the chance to tell the epic Story of a great Character.
Contents: 45 Character Cards, 91 Story Cards, 44 Hero and Anti-Hero Cards, 4 Player Boards, 24 custom acrylic Runes, 40 Experience Tokens, 12 Solitaire-Cooperative Mode Cards and 1 Rulebook.
