In the board game Lorenzo il Magnifico, each player takes the role of a head of a noble family of a city during the Italian Renaissance. Try to accumulate prestige and fame, to earn more victory points than your rivals. To do this, send members of your family to different areas of the city, where they can earn many achievements. In one place they get resources, in another place development cards (representing newly conquered territories, sponsored buildings, influential characters or companies), in another place they activate the effects of their cards. In Lorenzo il Magnifico, as head of a family, you know that your members are not identical.
At the beginning of each round, you roll three dice to determine the value of the family members. Each player must carefully choose where to send the family members with the highest value. Players can earn victory points in various ways, and must also pay attention to their relationships with the Church.
The game is divided into three periods, each consisting of two rounds; at the end of each period, players must show their faith, and the one who has not prayed enough will suffer harsh penalties. After six rounds, it will be time to calculate your final score, and the player with the highest score will win the game.
