Pagan Beyond the Palisades is the first expansion for Pagan Fate of Roanoke.

Pagan is an asymmetrical card game for two players who take on the roles of witch or witch hunter. The Witch tries to perform a ritual of re-naturalization before being exposed and eliminated by the Witch Hunter. Nine villagers are under suspicion and only the Witch player knows who the true Witch is. Each turn, players use their action pawns on active villagers to draw cards, play cards, gain influence, and manage the Gloom. Additionally, the Witch can craft powerful potions, enhance her familiars, and cast enchantments and amulets, while the Witch Hunter recruits allies, claims strategic locations, and ruthlessly investigates the villagers.

From its earliest moments, the colony has faced various problems. Even without the bewildering witchcraft at the heart of the village, establishing new frontiers has proven to be remarkably difficult. Nonetheless, the colony must turn its attention to the wild lands beyond the palisades; their resources are crucial for survival. The surrounding swamp, though teeming with wildlife and rich in resources, is covered by a constant fog. Attempts to expand agriculture have failed. Livestock weakens and their milk sours, while eggs turn green.

Could the witchcraft residing in the community be just a symptom of a much larger natural phenomenon? Can the field be cleared to make the colony a prosperous stronghold?

This expansion can only be played with Pagan: Fate of Roanoke.
