In a land slowly sinking into strangeness and torn apart by conflict, surviving each day is a challenge. Hunger, disease, violent weather and unexpected incidents conspire to end your journey.
The Guardian Menhirs, which augured safe travel through the realm, are slowly darkening making transportation a complicated puzzle.
To overcome these challenges, your character will develop various conflicting abilities, such as Brutality/Empathy or Logic/Spirituality. These traits unlock a rich selection of abilities, leading to different deck-building strategies, making character evolution more meaningful and deep.
The character you develop will go through dozens of combats and different encounters. Sometimes you will need to use brute force, but often diplomacy can be the best option. Regardless of whether you use your strength or your wits, the unique dice-less encounter system makes resolving each conflict fun and exciting, while keeping you immersed in the game.
In Avalon, there is a legend waiting behind every stone and every tree. Every location has its own stories and secrets to discover. The places and characters are often much more than they seem. As you slowly put all the pieces of the great puzzle together, this land will always have a surprise waiting for you, and many of the secrets can only be discovered after several games.
Created by one of the best Polish fantasy authors, Krzysztof Piskorski, the story of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon aims to push the boundaries of non-linear storytelling, creating an experience that Awaken Realms has imbued with ambitious storytelling and excellent gameplay mechanics, and combined with incredible illustrations.
