In The Witcher The Old World, you assume the role of a witcher to uncover stories that took place hundreds of years before the events of the Saga. The world you will explore is full of difficult decisions and danger lurks around every corner. Racism, deceitful mages, disputes between rulers, and the terrible monsters that appeared after the Conjunction of the Spheres are some reasons why you should not embark on this dangerous journey without a sword in hand. Your heightened senses and your witcher training have made you the perfect monster slayer and trophy hunter. This is your profession: you hunt and kill monsters, as long as someone pays you for it. After the fall of the Order of the Witchers, five new schools were created: Wolves, Griffins, Bears, Cats, and Vipers. Each school trains its adepts differently and lives by its own rules. After completing your training at the Fortress of your school, your exploration journey begins, not only to do enough to get a simple bowl of oats, but also to find the glory and pride of the school whose medallion you wear.

Set years before Geralt of Rivia's saga, The Witcher The Old World explores a time when monsters roamed the continent in greater numbers, creating constant danger that required the attention of expertly trained monster hunters known as witchers. Five competing schools trained their adepts through brutal regimens, and once fully prepared, these now recognized witchers set off to explore the land, seeking trouble and adventure and helping others make money.
In this competitive adventure board game, 2 to 5 players travel through a vast map, embark on masterfully written quests, encounter and make ambiguous moral decisions, fight monsters, and sometimes battle other witchers to defend the honor of their school.
The game allows players to build their own unique decks of cards by choosing from a wide range of abilities: witcher attacks, dodges, and combat magic known as "signs". Through card synergy, players seek to achieve powerful combos while using the distinctive abilities of their witcher school to their full potential. Quests, battles, and even dice poker allow each player to earn money, acquire new items, and train their skills.
The first player to acquire 4-6 trophies (a number established at the beginning of the game) instantly wins the game. You can earn trophies by killing monsters, instigating and winning tavern fights against another witcher, training attributes to the maximum level, or completing certain quests throughout your adventure.
The game will include a Solo Mode that allows you to play an adventure on the Continent.
