Trolls are not big and dumb, as many would have you believe. Not long ago, they lived among us and used their cunning magic to appear human.

They lived in the mountains with their livestock. Their caves were beautiful and lavishly decorated with silver, gold, and gemstones; and their tables were always filled with delicious food. In Sweden, there is an expression for this: "rich as a troll".

Trolls and Princesses is a worker placement game. You lead one of the four troll clans in the region and, if you want to win the favor of the king, you will have to try to impress him. You will earn favors (in the form of victory points) by performing typical troll tasks: swapping babies, "hiring" humans, pulling church bells, kidnapping princesses, digging caves, and using troll magic. Whoever earns the most victory points will be crowned the leader of the best troll clan!
