In Villagers you are the founder of a new village during the Middle Ages, in the years following a great plague. The loss of inhabitants has created great problems for the survivors. Many of the people on whom the villagers used to depend for essentials such as food, shelter and clothing have disappeared.
Artisans find themselves without suppliers of raw materials, merchants have lost their customers and many have lost their farms and workshops as they have escaped the plague. The roads are filled with refugees seeking a fresh start. They come to you, hoping to settle on your land and make a living.
Your grain farm is the ideal starting point for a village, as it provides stable food for many people. You must choose wisely who you allow to settle with you, as your food and resources are limited. The people along the way have valuable and unique skills, but in turn depend on other people with very specific trades in order to work.
This board game includes a solo mode where a village strives to prosper despite the dreaded countess and her evil machinations.
