Once upon a time there was a boy who saved the world of fairy tales. His reward was a wish. The Shadow Conspirator saw the opportunity to taint the boy's heart, whispering a malicious idea to him. The boy asked the King of Tales to grant a new life to the villains, cursed for centuries.
This was going to be their chance at redemption. And so, the villains turned good. But every light needs a shadow, and in turn, the heroes turned bad. At that moment, all fairy tales were broken.
Broken Tales is a role-playing game about dark stories, reinterpreting fairy tales from the opposite perspective. Players will become part of the Order, a secret group that operates on behalf of the Papacy to investigate supernatural events beyond human understanding. Moving through an 18th-century Europe steeped in mysticism and horror, the main characters in Broken Tales are none other than the former antagonists of fairy tales, thrown into a new world resulting from the wish of the Savior Child.
In this book, you will find all the rules you need to play. It also contains ten scenarios inspired by classic fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and other literary works like The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and One Thousand and One Nights.
