A game of Bellz! consists of an indeterminate number of turns alternating between players, starting with the initial turn and continuing clockwise. On his turn, the player must try to extract as many rattlesnakes of his color as possible. When he captures a rattlesnake, he can decide whether to continue trying to chain more rattlesnakes of his color or to stand up and consolidate the captured rattlesnakes. In the event that the player captures a rattlesnake of another color, he will end his turn immediately, returning all the rattlesnakes that are caught by the magnet to the plate.
