It's opening day and the best musicals in town are competing to fill their theaters for the entire season. To make your musical the most successful, you'll need to attract and place your audience in the best seat possible.
But it won't be easy. The word is out and the city's biggest celebrities, authorities and press don't want to miss such a glamorous event. Will you be able to find them the best seat? Now, if you'll excuse me, the show is about to begin!
Take a Seat introduces an innovative mechanic called "share & write" in which randomness is created by the interaction of the players (instead of a die or a card). On each turn players will get a reservation panel and will have to decide whether to use the usher skill or get direct points.
Then they will have to mark a reservation on the board to their right or left (depending on the turn) by scratching on any of the four tickets on the reservation panel. Finally they will have to assign seats in the theater by marking the outline and circles that correspond to the pieces selected in the previous step.
The game lasts fourteen turns. Once completed, the final scoring is done. There are three areas for scoring: target cards, reserve majorities and usher bonus. Players add up all the points to get the total score. The player with the highest score wins the game.
