Explorers of the Woodlands is a cooperative dice and dungeon game with a forest theme for 1 to 4 players. It combines the best of tile placement, exploration, dice rolling, and monster attacking in a beautiful setting, and comes with a fast-paced classic gameplay mode and a campaign mode.
Gameplay: In the classic gameplay mode, players will explore a forest made up of over 20 tiles. At the end of each forest, a boss will appear that players will have to defeat to win the game.
During the exploration phase, each player adds a tile to the forest, making it larger and larger. During the Adventure phase, each player takes turns playing with their character. The active player rolls 4 hero dice and places them on their hero board to determine what actions they can take during their turn.
Depending on the dice results, players gain movements, special actions, and unique abilities! Loot cards acquired from killing monsters or found in the forest and during events will also help the heroes achieve their goal!
In addition to the standard gameplay mode, the game includes a 5-mission campaign with different objectives, special rules, and components for even greater replayability.
