Factory 42 is a European-style board game for 2-5 players.

The game tells the story of the work week of Marxist dwarves in a steampunk industrial setting, placing the player in the role of factory supervisors. It combines worker placement and a cube tower to create a resource management puzzle.

Factory 42 is a ruthless competitive game with elements of cooperation and deals involving economy, fantasy, industry, and negotiation with a touch of satire, but not too much to turn it into a comedy game.

It successfully combines dual tensions: the camaraderie forged in shared goals and the opportunistic trampling of temporary competition. A fierce game of glancing blows and communal glory that creates a wicked combination of sharp elbows and shared ambition.

Visually, Factory 42 takes its influence from 1920s Soviet propaganda, fantasy literature, and pre-World War I Prussian decor elements.
