Of course, you will lose the possibility of using many of your buildings on the route, but maybe you can catch the others off guard, with the ships leaving before the scheduled time, causing their strategies to fail. The moment of reaching the central train station to deliver your herd has never been so crucial, and valuable bonuses await you on the port city maps.
