Castles of Burgundy is a legendary board game created by Stefan Feld. In this tabletop experience for 1-4 players, you will take on the role of an aristocrat who controls a small principality. You will try to build a settlement with powerful castles, engage in trade, exploit silver mines, and make use of the knowledge of travelers.
Now, this timeless game returns with a highly polished special edition, the result of a collaboration between Ravensburger and Awaken Realms.
In this special edition, you can expect a complete redesign of the artwork and layout to ensure that each piece will have stunning art and improved usability in the game. Only the best materials (cardboard, linen paper, box, inserts, etc.) will be used to provide durability and a premium feel. Many additional components will take the gaming experience to the next level, such as double-layer player boards, special bags for hexagons, 30% larger tokens, or metal coins.
Castles of Burgundy is set in the region of Burgundy, in medieval Upper France. Each player takes on the role of an aristocrat, originally controlling a small principality. As they play, their goal is to build settlements and powerful castles, engage in trade along the river, exploit silver mines, and make use of the knowledge of travelers.
The game consists of players taking settlement tiles from the game board and placing them in their principality, which is represented by a Duchy board placed on the Player board.
