For millennia, the dwarven kingdom lived in peace. But nothing lasts forever in the wild and frozen lands of the kingdom of Nidavellir. The tranquility soon disappeared to give way to a sinister threat, infernal flames that tore the sky and a horrible rumbling shook the foundations of the dwarven cities.
Far away, in the dark and lost regions of the continent, an evil that was thought to be forgotten was awakening again. Confined centuries ago by an alliance between wizards and dwarves, Fafnir "the merciless" had managed to free himself, eager for revenge: to plunder and burn everything in his path. And as any cunning thief would do, he would start where the gold had been most greedily piled up: the dwarven realm!
As the venerable Elvaland, respected council member and war chief, you have been sent by the king with the mission to gather an army capable of confronting and defeating this bloodthirsty monster.
Visit every tavern in the kingdom, hire the most skilled dwarves, recruit the most prestigious heroes and create the best battalion you can to defeat your deadly enemy. Be quick but, above all, don't be shy to spend, for the king will reward the best of all elvalands but will also punish those who have only gathered an army of poor devils.
