The starting player plays a card face up from his hand, the other player will do the same. We will look at the arrows on the players' cards and the arrow on the neutral card, if there are two or more cards with upward arrows, the player who played the card with the highest value wins the round. If there are two or more cards with downward arrows, the player who played the card with the lowest value wins the round.

The player who has won the round picks up the three cards. He places one of them face up in front of him and another one, also face up in front of his opponent (these areas are called "burrows"). The third card is placed face up in a zone between the players (the "river").

The winner of the previous round will be the leader in this new round. After four rounds and a special round called "last swim" the players calculate the points of the cards in their burrows based on the attributes of the cards that form the river.
