Normal Cases
In Sub Terra, players take turns exploring and revealing the tunnel system around them, trying to survive the various dangers of the cave, from floods and collapses to gas leaks and rockfalls. Each player has a role that grants them special abilities, such as the Engineer with dynamite to open a new route or the Scout to find a route more easily.
At the end of each turn, players face the reality of their situation, with a danger card drawn to determine which danger harms them or blocks their path to escape from the horrors below. These cards are finite, and when they run out, the torches flicker and the air feels tight, and the chances of survival rapidly decrease.
