Each player will have a template and 12 pieces. One player will roll the die and turn the hourglass over. The symbol on the die indicates which pieces are to be used. Then each player will try to complete his figure as fast as he can with the corresponding pieces.
The fastest player must shout "Ubongo!" when he has finished and then he can move his piece and take two gems. The rest of the players must continue playing without stopping: as long as the hourglass is ticking they still have time to complete the template and thus get a couple of gems. At the end, the player with the most gems of the same color will be the winner of the game. And there won't always be a winner.
