Warfighter is a cooperative and also a solitaire game that puts us in the shoes of individual soldiers trying to accomplish a mission, facing the enemy forces that controls the game, very narrative for the situations that may occur.
We will have to choose the members of the squad, their equipment and skills, to go through the locations that we find to fulfill our goal before the game turns run out.
Warfighter is a card game designed by Dan Verssen, which recreates at a tactical level the combat during the Second World War in Europe. It can be played solo or cooperatively with up to 6 players.
It uses a card engine to make each game different. The game is played through missions independent of each other. For each mission, players select one or more soldiers along with their skills, equipment, and weapons with the resource limits imposed by the mission. Missions can also be chained to form campaigns with the same platoon, improving the skills of the soldiers and replacing those who have fallen in previous battles.
Players will only have the weapons and equipment they have selected and carry to face the enemies they encounter on their way, so mission planning and preparation is vital to their success.
