Your search for answers following the disappearance of four people from a Silver Twilight Lodge event has taken you to the darkest corners of Arkham. From the ramshackle witch's house on French Hill, to Hangman's Hill, and even into the dark halls of the Lodge itself, you have relentlessly searched for the truth, despite encountering insurmountable obstacles at every turn, all stemming from a past that the city itself seems desperate to hide.
But now, you'll leave the streets and head to the Miskatonic, where a small island awaits, luring you with the promise of answers to your questions while sending shivers down your spine with lonely birdsong and ominous stone pillars. "Cozy" is an adjective few would use to describe this place: the riverbanks are barren and appear shrouded in mist, and as you paddle closer, you take on a steady, silent rhythm, as if to prevent the river itself from becoming aware of your presence. Not a soul appears when you reach the island, except for the inquisitive gaze of the ghostly birds watching you from the trees. In the distance, a column of spectral energy rises into the clouds and, swirling around you, a vortex of otherworldly mist is visible.
