7 days of journey is not a game intended or designed to play to win. It is an experience to play to empathize with the rest of the players and, above all, to play to live a small story of a long journey that comes to an end.

Get ready to improvise. This gaming experience rides between the feeling of storytelling (a narrative game without a game master) and a slightly more classic role-playing game. In most cases, it will be a journey full of dangers and tragic decisions during the day and memories and bonds during the night.

The players portray a group of survivors who, after an extensive journey, only have 7 days left to reach their destination. The characters will build their past during the journey, and they will not have the usual skills like strength, endurance, agility, or intelligence. Instead, the basic emotions defined in 1980 by Robert Plutchik on his wheel of emotions will be used, based on the Emotion-Driven game engine.

One of the players will take on the role of the game guide. They will be the mediator and facilitator of the narrative and will guide (if necessary) the actions of the other players within each journey. They will also be responsible for transitioning between the Day and Night phases.

During the Day, the players will collaborate in the construction of the world, face risky and uncertain situations (having to make dice rolls), search for food, and portray their characters in the fiction.

During the Night, they will have to perform flashbacks that will allow them to learn about their past. When a survivor finishes telling their story, the rest of the survivors will make an emotion dice roll (Emotion-Driven game engine) based on how they believe the character feels after telling that story.

The 2nd edition of 7 days of journey includes 8 settings (ready-to-play scenarios) and a solo mode with slight modifications to the game system. You will also find instructions on how to create your own setting and a music list with tracks that you can use for your games.
