Eriador, the lonely lands described in The Lord of the Rings, comes to life like never before in this book for The One Ring, the official role-playing game based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
In the western lands of Eriador, between the Misty Mountains and the Blue Mountains, the hobbits encountered men and elves. Indeed, there still dwelt a remnant of the Dúnedain, the kings of men who came by sea from the Westernesse; but they were rapidly dwindling, and ruin had already reached all the lands of the Northern Kingdom. Eriador, the lonely lands described in The Lord of the Rings, comes to life like never before in this book for The One Ring, the official roleplaying game based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. A region often described as deserted becomes a crucible of adventures, offering many hours of gameplay.
Chapter 1: Mists over Eriador. It presents a description of the regions that once formed part of the kingdom of Arnor, focusing on the city of Tharbad.
Chapter 2: The storm is coming. It provides a set of narrative elements for the Loremaster to build a possible future for the land of Eriador as a whole, including the description of many imminent threats, Loremaster characters, and their objectives.
Chapter 3: Locations. It adds twelve locations of interest in the style of those presented in the core book. These locations represent both "historical" locations mentioned in The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, as well as others that were specifically created for the game.
