The Call of Cthulhu: A Desperate Cry is a role-playing supplement for The Call of Cthulu that will immerse you in an adventure for four players, which aims to take the Myths to the limits of morality, and test the convictions of the characters. You will face adult themes, hard, the harshest reality, so it is only recommended for mature players. This is a story based on the Myths but it can hardly be considered a Lovecraftian adventure as such. The cosmic horror is present, and perhaps in the end it is unleashed on the entire population, but it is not the seed from which this story has germinated.

This adventure aims to take the Cthulhu Myths to the limits of morality and test the convictions of the characters: what happens when a loved one can be saved at the cost of the lives of others, is all blood spilled worth the same, or perhaps there are lives that do not deserve to be lived and others that do, what happens when the villain does good things using horrible means, does the end justify the means...? A desperate cry forces the characters to confront these questions. And it does so through an investigative adventure that, inspired by series like True Detective, will lead them, trial after trial, to the truth hidden in the swamps of southern Louisiana.
