In this strategic board game of fierce greed, you will expand your empire by building canals and railroads, and build and develop various types of industries, such as cotton mills, coal mines, iron foundries, shipyards and ports.
Over two eras, the Canal Era and the Railroad Era, players will build industries all over the map; connect locations by canals and railroads; manufacture coal and steel; develop their industries to gain access to higher level industries; sell cotton through the ports or to distant markets; build mighty ships in the shipyards; and increase their income in hopes of becoming powerful industrial magnates and thus rise economically over their opponents.
The player with the most victory points at the end of the second era will be the winner of the game.
