The Deluxe Edition contains upgraded boards, tokens, and tiles, as well as a larger amount of gold, diamonds, and obsidian. English box with Spanish rulebook.

Trolls are not big and dumb, as many would have you believe. Not long ago, they lived among us and used their cunning magic to appear human.

They lived in the mountains with their livestock. Their caves were beautiful and luxuriously decorated with silver, gold, and gems; and their tables were always filled with delicious food. In Sweden, there is an expression for this: "to be as rich as a troll."

Trolls and Princesses is a worker placement game. You lead one of the four troll clans in the region and, if you want to win the favor of the king, you'll have to try to impress him. You'll earn favors (in the form of victory points) by doing typical troll tasks: swapping babies, "hiring" humans, stealing church bells, kidnapping princesses, digging caves, and using troll magic. Whoever earns the most victory points will be crowned the leader of the best troll clan!
