In just a few weeks, Louis XV will host the end-of-season Grand Ball and everyone wants from you an elegant frock coat here, a sumptuous gown there, or even a small sum to finance the grand fireworks display. As you may have already realized, this isn't just a sartorial business; it's about getting a presence at the most prestigious ball of the season and a chance to earn eternal fame and prestige.
In this board game, you will be the owner of a distinguished tailoring business striving to increase its prestige. Each turn, you will play an employee card that allows you to perform a task, such as hiring a new employee for your staff, making exquisite clothes and coats to rent or sell, or financing some of the many ornaments. However, employees can't always perform all tasks, so you'll need to plan carefully how you manage them, especially since each employee awards a unique bonus, including some that build prestige.
The grand ball will end after seven rounds with a grand fireworks display and the final score. You will earn prestige points for the sumptuous dresses and frocks you have rented for the ball's guests, certain employee bonuses and the festive decorations you have financed. Whoever has earned the most prestige at the end of the game is the winner.
